Gorillas & Chimpanzees
January 2027

There are only about 1,000 mountain gorillas left on this planet… and in the misty forests of Uganda, we’ll stand face-to-face with them. This once-in-a-lifetime journey starts in Kigali, Rwanda, and takes us deep into Uganda’s wild heart. Over six unforgettable days, we’ll move between lush rainforests, open savannahs, and peaceful crater lakes — trekking through the jungles of Bwindi and Kibale to encounter two of our closest relatives: gorillas and chimpanzees.

Between safaris and treks, we’ll unwind in boutique eco-lodges, sip coffee overlooking rolling hills, and connect as a small group of women who dared to say yes to something extraordinary.

Here at The Girls Trip Series, we focus on creating small, curated experiences around the globe for women who hate the idea of being stuck on a tour. Because of this, our trips differ from a lot of other group travel on the market, and honestly, are not suited for everyone.

We seek independent women who are comfortable exploring on their own terms and connecting with other women in unique ways. The girls on our trips wake up each day and tune into what feels good TO THEM and set out to go do it. Sometimes that means that some women traveling with you crave solo time and not always group time. Other times it means that the group splits into tiny groups to tackle activities and experiences that fulfill different interests. And sometimes, we come together to carve out intentional time to play by doing bigger group activities and excursions that cross big items off of our bucket lists.
